Weekend Highway Crashes Cause Widespread Disruptions

This weekend, several major highways across North America experienced significant disruptions due to fatal crashes and serious incidents. A deadly crash on I-15 northeast of Las Vegas caused a full closure of northbound lanes, while a fatal collision on I-44 in Oklahoma led to lane shutdowns and diversions. In Louisville, a semi crash closed I-65 South for two hours, the third such incident there in 48 hours, though no life-threatening injuries were reported. Additional multi-vehicle collisions occurred on I-95 in Virginia and I-805 in San Diego, and lane closures on US 151 in Wisconsin contributed to widespread delays. Chicago's Dan Ryan Expressway was temporarily closed after a reported shooting with no injuries. Persistent congestion also continues at the intersection of 231 Street and Highway 16A in Edmonton despite recent safety upgrades.
