Parks Fire Spreads Over 40 Acres Near Dublin, San Ramon
A rapidly growing vegetation fire, named the Parks Fire, broke out near Camp Parks in eastern Alameda County, California, spreading quickly from one acre to over 40 acres within a short time. The fire is burning near Dougherty Road and Fall Creek Road, close to the Alameda–Contra Costa county line, with smoke visible across the East Bay area, including Dublin and San Ramon. Firefighters from Camp Parks Fire Department, CAL FIRE, Alameda County Fire Department, and San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District are actively battling the blaze, utilizing multiple air tankers, helicopters, and fire engines. Although the fire is fast-moving and structures are reportedly threatened, no evacuation orders have been issued so far. The cause of the fire remains under investigation as crews focus on preventing further spread, particularly given the fire's proximity to residential and commercial zones. The situation remains dynamic with ongoing response efforts.
