Vail Resorts Plans 2025/26 Ski Season Opening Across North America, Europe

Vail Resorts has announced target opening dates for the 2025-26 winter ski season, with Keystone Resort aiming to open as early as mid-October, followed by other major resorts including Whistler Blackcomb, which targets a November 21 opening date. The season is expected to last more than half the year, extending through May at resorts like Breckenridge and Whistler Blackcomb, offering over six months of skiing and snowboarding. Whistler Blackcomb will celebrate its 60th anniversary with new "Wonder Routes" highlighting terrain and après-ski culture, alongside hosting the World Ski and Snowboard Festival in April. Epic Pass holders can access more than 90 resorts worldwide with passes priced at $1,075 for adults and $548 for children, with prices increasing after September 1. A new feature, "Epic Friend Tickets," allows passholders to share six to ten half-price lift ticket vouchers with friends, who can apply the full ticket cost toward a future pass purchase. Additional perks include 20% off food, lodging, rentals, and lessons through Epic Mountain Rewards and access to the My Epic app for real-time trail maps and other convenience features.
