Indiana Media Outlets Celebrate Wins at Annual Journalism Awards
Several Indiana news organizations and student media received top honors at the annual Indiana Society of Professional Journalists awards. The Indiana Capital Chronicle’s Senior Reporter Casey Smith was named Journalist of the Year, with the publication receiving seven total awards, including best journalism website. Capital B Gary was recognized with six awards, including top honors for government, politics, and feature reporting during its first year. The Indiana Daily Student led college media with 20 awards for excellence in student journalism, highlighting the strength and diversity of reporting across the state.
