Vacaville Man Arrested in Hit-and-Run Incident

Vacaville police have arrested 21-year-old Daniel Lopez, the suspect in a hit-and-run incident that left 73-year-old Romeo Banayat and his dog, Snowman, injured. The incident occurred on September 30, when Banayat and Snowman were struck while in a crosswalk at the intersection of Browns Valley Road and Vaca Valley Parkway. Banayat suffered serious injuries, including a dislocated shoulder and fractures to his hip and femur, requiring surgery; Snowman also sustained injuries but managed to escape and was later reunited with his family. Lopez was booked on felony hit-and-run charges after his vehicle was recovered as evidence.
