Road rage shooting injures driver, shuts I-70 in Columbus

A road rage incident on Interstate 70 in west Columbus resulted in one driver being shot in the face on Tuesday morning. The victim, driving a black Ford F-150, reported that the shooting occurred after a confrontation with a gold Chevrolet Equinox, during which both vehicles were 'brake-checking' each other. Authorities received a 911 call from the injured driver, who was subsequently taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are actively searching for the suspect vehicle, which fled the scene following the shooting. As a result of the incident, all westbound lanes of I-70 have been closed at the I-71 and State Route 315 interchange, along with associated ramps.
