Massachusetts Man Faces Murder Charge After Fatal Halloween Brockton Stabbing

Tyrone Henderson, a 70-year-old man from Brockton, Massachusetts, has been charged with the murder of his 68-year-old friend, Mark Courtney, who was stabbed 22 times in an apartment on Halloween night. Authorities responded to a call around 9:53 p.m. and found Courtney with stab wounds to his neck, chest, and leg; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Henderson was arrested at the location and faces charges of murder and failure to register as a sex offender, as he is currently classified as a Level 3 sex offender. Prosecutors have stated the stabbing was a targeted attack and not a random act of violence, emphasizing there is no threat to public safety. Henderson pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and was ordered held without bail, with his next court date scheduled for December 5.
