AYANEO Launches Dual-Screen Pocket DS Android Gaming Handheld
AYANEO has launched the Pocket DS, an Android dual-screen gaming handheld inspired by the Nintendo DS, featuring a clamshell design with a 7-inch OLED main display and a 5-inch secondary LCD screen. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset with an Adreno A32 GPU, the device offers configurations ranging from 8GB RAM/128GB storage to 16GB RAM/1TB storage, supported by an 8,000mAh battery and PC-grade cooling. The main screen supports 1080p resolution at 165Hz with HDR and up to 800 nits brightness, while the secondary screen uses a 4:3 aspect ratio suited for retro gaming and multitasking. AYANEO includes its AYASpace and AYAHome software, plus a DS Launcher app for enhanced multitasking and input control with features like Focus Lock. The handheld is equipped with hall-effect triggers, TMR joysticks, ABXY buttons, dual linear motors, stereo speakers, and connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C. Available now on Indiegogo starting at $399, the Pocket DS offers a premium metal build with an adjustable 180-degree hinge and is expected to start shipping in October.
