24-Year-Old Man Arrested for Posing as Teen at Ohio High School

Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, a 24-year-old Venezuelan national, was arrested for posing as a 16-year-old student at Perrysburg High School in Ohio, where he enrolled in January 2024 under the name Anthony Labrador. He was able to enroll as an unaccompanied minor under federal and state guidelines by presenting various fraudulent documents, including a driver's license, Social Security number, Temporary Protected Status from U.S. Immigration, and a birth certificate claiming he was 17. Sierra lived with two adult legal guardians who later contacted authorities after learning he was not a minor, prompting a police investigation that led to his arrest on felony forgery charges. Superintendent Thomas Hosler acknowledged the situation's complexity, noting the school followed legal protocols for enrolling unaccompanied minors and expressed concern about the deception's impact on the community. Sierra had also been a member of the school's swim team and is currently held on a $50,000 bond, with restrictions preventing him from leaving Wood County if released. The case has involved multiple local, state, and federal agencies due to its highly unusual and deceptive nature.
