William Shatner Stars in New Star Trek Short

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of 'Star Trek: Generations,' a new short film titled 'Unification' has been released, featuring William Shatner's Captain Kirk alongside a digitally recreated Spock. The film, produced by the Roddenberry Archive in collaboration with OTOY, utilizes a blend of archival footage and CGI, with Shatner's likeness portrayed by actor Sam Witwer. 'Unification' imagines a poignant reunion between Kirk and Spock, rectifying fans' long-held desire for a more meaningful farewell scene that was absent in the original film. The short also includes contributions from actors such as Gary Lockwood, who reprises his role as Gary Mitchell, and Lawrence Selleck, portraying Spock. Shatner and Leonard Nimoy's estate were involved in the production, which features numerous Easter eggs referencing Star Trek lore.
