Ohio Woman Charged for Leaving Children in Car

Shaneja Gamble, a 22-year-old woman from Toledo, Ohio, was arrested and charged with child endangerment after leaving her two children alone in a non-running car in freezing temperatures at the Hollywood Casino Toledo. The car was found unlocked on the third floor of the parking structure, where temperatures were around 26 degrees Fahrenheit. Casino security alerted an off-duty police officer after spotting the children unattended. Gamble was taken into custody at approximately 1:30 p.m. on January 5 and was scheduled for arraignment the following day.
