Kinston, Jones County Police Arrest Stolen Vehicle Suspects

On July 25, 2025, the Kinston Police Department responded to a stolen vehicle report on Duggins Drive, where the owner provided GPS data indicating the vehicle was in Jones County. Coordinating with the Jones County Sheriff's Office, authorities located the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver, 27-year-old Alexis Adams of Kinston, refused to stop and fled, leading to a brief pursuit before her arrest. Adams was served an outstanding warrant from Kinston PD for larceny of a motor vehicle and was booked into the Jones County Jail. Separately, on July 28, Kinston Police assisted in the arrest of 23-year-old William Alphin, wanted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office, taking him into custody without incident and holding him without bond in Lenoir County Jail. These incidents highlight the effective collaboration between local law enforcement agencies in recovering stolen property and apprehending suspects.
