In Lakeland, Florida, Ronald Jeanbaptiste, 54, and Yanique Pierre, 46, of Everett, Massachusetts, were struck and killed by a Toyota Yaris while crossing South Florida Avenue near Imperial Boulevard, just feet away from their 7-year-old daughter, who was unharmed. Additionally, in Buffalo, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a Jeep SUV on Broadway and Hirschbeck Street, with speed being investigated as a potential factor.
