Athletics Honor Rickey Henderson by Wearing No. 24 During Home Opener

His three daughters will be in attendance to throw the ceremonial first pitches. The A's will also wear commemorative patches featuring Henderson's number throughout the 2025 season and provide special giveaways for fans. This marks a significant tribute as the team embarks on its new temporary home while awaiting a permanent stadium in Las Vegas. The opening day festivities will also include a flyover from Beale Air Force Base and special events to commemorate the occasion.
