Dejuan Evans, a 32-year-old man from Farmington Hills, has been charged with multiple counts, including Assault with Intent to Murder, after a barricade situation where he shot at police officers, homes, and police cars. The incident began with a domestic violence call, following which Evans barricaded himself in a home with two young children who eventually escaped. Evans fired multiple rounds at officers and surrounding homes before being shot by a SWAT sniper, who incapacitated him. Law enforcement provided medical aid and took Evans into custody. Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald praised the quick actions of the police in neutralizing the threat. The case is being investigated by the Special Investigations Unit of the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
