Jordan Molina, a 44-year-old resident of Seal Beach, was arrested on September 3, 2024, after allegedly assaulting two police officers and barricading himself in a utility room at a car repair shop for over an hour. Police responded to reports of a suspicious individual 'banging on cars and climbing trees' around 8:50 AM in the 300 block of 7th Street. Upon arrival, officers witnessed Molina kicking a parked car, and during an attempt to detain him, he assaulted two officers and fled. The situation escalated into a standoff, prompting assistance from the Orange County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit and local police. After negotiations, officers apprehended Molina without further incident. He has been charged with two counts of resisting or deterring an officer by force, and both injured officers were treated for minor injuries.
