Holland America Enhances Entertainment Fleetwide with New Live Music, Cultural Shows, Cruise Director Role

Holland America Line is significantly enhancing its onboard entertainment across its fleet of 11 ships, with updates already implemented on six vessels and plans to expand fleetwide by 2025. Key additions include the return of classical music through Vivace, a new string duo or trio, and the launch of The Dam Band, which supports production shows and guest entertainers on the World Stage. The line has introduced a regional soloist program featuring culturally inspired performances such as folk guitar in Alaska, steel drums in the Caribbean, and mariachi music in Mexico, enriching the connection to destinations. Entertainment schedules have been expanded to offer non-stop nightly shows, including surprise cabaret performances and live music in venues like the Crow’s Nest, Lido Pool, and Ocean Bar. The role of the Cruise Director is being reimagined to create a more immersive and dynamic guest experience, with a new entertainment team structure supporting interactive classes, tastings, and themed parties. Holland America emphasizes that these enhancements aim to provide higher energy, authentic local music, and greater variety, ultimately enriching the journey and creating unforgettable experiences for guests.
