Wolves Sign Defender Emmanuel Agbadou

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed Emmanuel Agbadou from Stade de Reims for £16.6 million, marking the first acquisition under new manager Vitor Pereira. The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international defender has agreed to a four-and-a-half-year contract, with an option for an additional year. Agbadou, known for his commanding presence and leadership qualities, has made 76 appearances for Reims over two-and-a-half seasons and captained the team last summer. His addition comes as Wolves seek to bolster their defense following the departures of key players, including former captain Max Kilman. Wolves currently sit just above the Premier League relegation zone and aim to improve their defensive record, having conceded a league-high 45 goals this season. The club’s chairman and sporting director expressed confidence that Agbadou's skills and experience will significantly enhance the team's performance.
