Tranmere Rovers sign Man United's Mather, Jackson on loan

Manchester United's young talents, winger Sam Mather and defender Louis Jackson, have officially joined Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season. Mather, 20, has been in excellent form with six goals in nine matches for United's U21s, while 19-year-old Jackson has also had a notable presence in the same league. Tranmere's manager, Nigel Adkins, expressed his delight over the signings, emphasizing that the duo will strengthen the team's depth as they navigate a challenging season, currently sitting 22nd in League Two. Both players previously played key roles in Manchester United's FA Youth Cup success and have prior loan experience, with Mather having spent time at Rochdale last season.
