Lt. Brian Tully Reassigned from Leadership Role

This move comes amid an ongoing internal affairs investigation into Tully and other officers connected to the case. The reassignment was enacted by Colonel Geoffrey Noble, the newly appointed head of the Massachusetts State Police, as part of efforts to restore public trust in the agency. The decision was made after a preliminary review, with Noble stating it was in the 'best interest of the Department’s public safety mission.' Tully, who testified in Read’s trial and faced scrutiny for his role, will remain available to assist with previous cases. The vacancy for Tully's former position has been announced as the department seeks a new leader for the unit.
