Sting to Play Super Bowl Studio 60 Concerts
The NFL has booked Sting, who performed on a Super Bowl halftime in 2003, to headline a Super Bowl-branded Studio 60 concert on Feb. 6 at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts; the event is organized by hospitality partner On Location and tickets start around $750. Organizers also announced a second Studio 60 night on Feb. 7 with performers to be announced; the events will include premium hospitality and meet-and-greets with NFL players. Sting’s appearance is separate from the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, which remains headlined by Bad Bunny, and the league and Roc Nation have defended that booking. The announcement comes amid heated backlash from conservative politicians and petitions, and new polling shows a sharp partisan split over Bad Bunny’s selection. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said he’s confident the Bad Bunny performance will be “exciting and a united moment,” though questions remain whether additional marquee programming like Sting’s will blunt the controversy.
