Thomas Tuchel Scouts Players at Tottenham Match

Thomas Tuchel, who officially became England's head coach on January 1, will conduct his first scouting mission at Tottenham's match against Newcastle on Saturday. This marks Tuchel's initial step in evaluating potential England players ahead of his first squad selection for World Cup qualifiers in March. He will be observing players like Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, and Anthony Gordon during the match. Tuchel has also introduced new members to his coaching staff, including goalkeeping coach Hilario, performance coach Nicolas Mayer, and analyst James Melbourne. Following the Tottenham game, Tuchel plans to visit St George’s Park for meetings with the England team staff. His upcoming matches in charge will be against Albania and Latvia on March 21 and 24, respectively.
