The Prince and Princess of Wales have expressed their condolences for the death of Peter Morris, a 47-year-old pizza seller who passed away from cancer in May. They met Morris in April 2023 when they purchased pizzas from his van, Little Dragon Pizza, for a mountain rescue team. In a heartfelt letter read at his funeral, Prince William conveyed their sorrow and admiration for Morris as a dedicated community member, stating, 'We can only begin to imagine what an immense hole he will leave in your life.' Morris's widow, Tracey, noted that the royal tribute was especially meaningful, particularly as Kate is undergoing treatment herself. She expressed surprise at how the royals learned about her husband's passing, emphasizing the special nature of their letter amid many received from others. Morris had battled esophageal cancer before being diagnosed with cancer in his adrenal gland and liver four months after the royal visit.
