Two Killed in Migrant Van Crash in Croatia

A tragic accident in central Croatia occurred early Saturday when an overloaded van carrying migrants crashed, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 25 others, including nine seriously. The van, which had German license plates, was being pursued by police after the driver accelerated upon noticing them. After veering off the road, the vehicle overturned and struck a concrete bridge, a house, and a power pole. Among the injured are migrants from Iraq, Turkey, Syria, and Palestine, reflecting the perilous conditions faced by those fleeing conflict and poverty. This incident follows a similar crash in September that injured 14 people, highlighting ongoing issues with migrant transportation through Europe.
