Similarly, Sutton Coldfield has been allocated £20 million as part of a £1.5 billion national Plan for Neighbourhoods fund, with local authorities and residents collaborating on regeneration plans to restore pride and transform neglected areas. In east Surrey, more than £200,000 has been committed to voluntary and community organizations via the Thriving Communities Fund, supporting a variety of initiatives from bereavement counseling to cultural projects aimed at enhancing social cohesion and wellbeing.
