Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson's Song Sung Blue Set for December 25, 2025 Release
Focus Features has announced that 'Song Sung Blue,' a musical drama starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, will be released in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2025. Written and directed by Craig Brewer, the film is inspired by the true story of two down-on-their-luck performers who find love and purpose by forming a Neil Diamond tribute band. Jackman and Hudson revealed the release date and a first-look photo via social media, expressing enthusiasm for the project and their collaboration. The cast also includes Michael Imperioli, Fisher Stevens, Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, and Hudson Hilbert Hensley. The film is based on Greg Kohs’ 2008 documentary of the same name, with Focus Features holding worldwide rights and Universal Pictures International handling international distribution. Brewer, known for 'Hustle & Flow,' produces alongside Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox.
