Tottenham Confirm Five Senior Departures and New Signings
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of five senior players ahead of the 2024-25 season, including Fraser Forster, Alfie Whiteman, Sergio Reguilon, and Timo Werner, who returns to RB Leipzig after his loan, as well as the sale of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Marseille for £17 million. The club has also strengthened its defense by signing Austrian international Kevin Danso from Lens for £21 million. These changes are part of a broader squad overhaul under technical director Johan Lange, following recent boardroom changes. Tottenham's qualification for the Champions League, secured by winning the Europa League, is expected to boost future recruitment and retention. The club is focusing on rejuvenating the squad with a mix of youth and experience. The moves signify a new strategic direction as Tottenham aims to build on recent European success.
