A24 Schedules Zendaya, Pattinson Film The Drama

A24 has scheduled The Drama, a romantic comedy written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli and starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, for release on April 3, 2026. The film follows a couple whose romance takes an unexpected, dramatic turn shortly before their wedding; supporting cast includes Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates. Producers Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen’s Square Peg is collaborating with Dilemma Films and A24 on the project. Production, which wrapped late last year, included location filming and open casting in Boston and built elaborate European sets, and reports peg the production cost near $30 million. A24 is positioning the film to counterprogram over the Easter weekend, a move outlets say signals the studio’s push toward more mainstream, glossy fare.
