Multiple States Plan Overnight Road Closures

Multiple overnight lane and ramp closures are planned this month across Nevada, Minnesota, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Michigan as transportation agencies carry out paving, signal/manhole upgrades, message‑board and sign work, and pavement marking projects. In Las Vegas, NDOT will reduce lanes and close ramps on the 215/Airport Connector and along I‑15 on specified nights in October for pavement preservation and maintenance (including manhole/inlet adjustments, loop detector installs and signal upgrades) and is sharing updates via partners like Waze. PennDOT will close the Exit 57 ramp on I‑70 and impose single‑lane restrictions for concrete patching with detours via Exit 54 through mid‑October, and Michigan’s MDOT will close two lanes on southbound I‑75 overnight Oct. 3–4 for overhead sign removal as part of a $5.3 million safety upgrade; agencies warn schedules are weather‑dependent and advise drivers to expect delays, follow posted signage, and consult agency traffic resources for real‑time updates.
