St. Paul Man Charged After Shooting at Officer

Samuel Flowers, a 26-year-old from St. Paul, faces multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, after a high-speed chase and shootout with police. On Monday night, Flowers fled a traffic stop, firing an AR-15-style rifle with armor-piercing bullets at pursuing officers, although no one was injured. Officers found a stolen rifle and drugs, including suspected cocaine and fentanyl, in Flowers' possession and vehicle. Flowers, on supervised release following previous convictions for violent crimes, was eventually apprehended after crashing his vehicle and attempting to escape on foot. The incident was captured on police dashcams and body cameras, and no officers returned fire during the pursuit.
