Hot Chip Release Career-Spanning Best Of Album September

Hot Chip has announced their first greatest-hits compilation, 'Joy in Repetition,' set for release on September 5 via Domino. The album spans the British dance-pop group's career from their 2005 debut 'Coming on Strong' through 2019's 'A Bath Full of Ecstasy,' featuring iconic tracks like 'Ready for the Floor,' 'Over and Over,' and 'I Feel Better,' along with a new song titled 'Devotion.' Vocalist Alexis Taylor describes the new track as a celebration of the band's dedication to making music together for over 20 years, emphasizing the joy found in repetition and collaboration. The album's artwork is painted by Sir Peter Blake, famed for co-designing the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band cover. The music video for 'Devotion,' directed by Will Kindrick and filmed in Japan, pays tribute to the disciplined devotion of Japanese security guards, a theme reflecting the song's message. Hot Chip plans to celebrate the release with live performances, including a full album show in London.
