Multiple House, Encampment and Brush Fires Across U.S.

Firefighters are actively battling a house fire in the 400 block of Story Road in Houston County, Ga., after a 6:25 a.m. call; officials say the scene is active and ask the public to avoid the area while details remain limited. In New Cumberland, units responded just after 2 a.m. to a one-alarm house fire on the 2100 block of Allen Street; the house was believed evacuated, injuries are unknown, and the cause is unclear. Central Bell County Fire Rescue brought a fully involved mobile home and surrounding brush under control in about 15 minutes Sunday night, and neighbors identified individuals on the property who were arrested on illegal-burning charges.
