Man arrested for attempted murder after van hits pedestrians in Poulton-le-Fylde

A 32-year-old man from Great Eccleston has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a hit-and-run incident involving a Ford Transit van in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. The van struck two pedestrians shortly before 12:50 AM, leaving one man in his 20s with serious injuries and the other in his 40s with minor injuries. After the van fled the scene, it was located shortly afterward, leading to the suspect's arrest on multiple charges, including causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Lancashire Police have stated that there is no wider threat to the public and described the incident as isolated. Detective Inspector Dave Little has urged witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward to assist in the investigation. The police are currently gathering information as they continue their inquiries into the case.
