Bus Crash at Tea Tree Plaza Injures Driver, Closes Interchange

A serious bus crash occurred at the Tea Tree Plaza Interchange in Modbury, Adelaide, around 9:30 am on Friday, when a bus collided with a tree, injuring the driver significantly. Emergency services had to use specialized cutting tools to extricate the driver, who was transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Fortunately, there were no passengers on board at the time of the incident. The crash resulted in the closure of the Tea Tree Plaza bus interchange and affected 20 bus routes, with detours advised for commuters. Adelaide Metro staff are on-site to assist affected passengers and direct them to alternative stops. Police are urging travelers to allow for extra time due to the ongoing disruptions on the O-Bahn track between the Tea Tree Plaza and Paradise interchanges.
