Fortnite Unveils Massive Star Wars Galactic Battle

Fortnite's largest Star Wars-themed season, 'Galactic Battle,' launches on May 2 and will run through June 7, featuring five weekly events that culminate in a major in-game narrative finale. New playable characters include Darth Jar Jar, Mace Windu, and Emperor Palpatine, along with Star Wars mash-up skins such as Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader. Players will be able to pilot iconic ships like X-Wings and TIE Fighters, wield Force Lightning, and explore Star Wars-themed map locations and weapons. The season, announced at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, highlights the deepening partnership between Fortnite and Disney following Disney's $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games. Weekly themed events, including 'Imperial Takeover,' 'Mandalorian Rising,' and 'Death Star Sabotage,' will explore different eras and lore from the Star Wars universe. This crossover is recognized as one of Fortnite's most ambitious pop culture collaborations to date.
