Brooklyn Nets Sign Chinese Player Yongxi Cui

The Brooklyn Nets have signed 21-year-old Chinese shooting guard Yongxi Cui to a two-way contract, marking the first Chinese player on the team since Joe Tsai's ownership began. Cui, who previously played for the Guangzhou Loong Lions in the Chinese Basketball Association and impressed during the NBA Summer League with the Portland Trail Blazers, aims to excel as a 3-and-D player. Cui will primarily spend time in the G-League but has the potential for regular season call-ups. His signing comes amid a transitional phase for the Nets, who have recently traded star player Mikal Bridges and are focusing on developing young talent. Brooklyn's training camp begins on October 1st.
