Illinois Police Search Naked Gunman After 2 Officers Shot, House Burns
In Gibson City, Illinois, authorities are searching for 70-year-old David D. Jordan, who shot two law enforcement officers after they responded to a report of a naked man walking in the street. The officers, a Gibson City police officer and a Ford County sheriff's deputy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized. Jordan was last seen unclothed and is considered armed and dangerous, possibly riding a red bicycle. Shortly after the shooting, Jordan's residence caught fire, causing significant damage to his home and a neighboring property. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but both structures were declared total losses with combined damage estimates exceeding $200,000. Authorities urge anyone with information on Jordan's whereabouts to contact the Gibson City Police Department immediately.
