In a series of drug enforcement operations across India, law enforcement agencies have made significant seizures of ganja. At Coimbatore Junction, the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau-CID seized four kg of ganja from the Dhanbad Express, with no arrests made during the operation. In Hyderabad, Excise Enforcement officials apprehended eight individuals and seized 170 kg of ganja valued at Rs 34 lakh, highlighting a smuggling route from Odisha to Maharashtra. The primary accused, identified as Ismail, was arrested as part of the operation. Additionally, the Secunderabad Railway Police arrested a tea stall owner with 18.45 kg of ganja being transported from Odisha to Surat, further illustrating the ongoing battle against drug trafficking. These operations reflect a broader crackdown on ganja peddling in various regions, with several arrests made and ongoing investigations into the accused's backgrounds.
