Anaheim Police Fatally Shoot Robbery Suspect
Anaheim police officers fatally shot a 30-year-old male suspect on December 27 after responding to a report of a possible robbery. The incident took place around 8 p.m. on East South Street, where officers encountered the suspect, leading to gunfire. A realistic-looking replica firearm was recovered at the scene, prompting an investigation by the California Department of Justice, as required by state law for officer-involved shootings resulting in death. Officers administered first aid before the suspect was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Four officers were involved in the incident, and none were injured. The Orange County coroner's office will release the suspect's identity once confirmed.
