Kanpur-Delhi IndiGo Flight Delayed Three Hours After Rat Sighted Onboard

An IndiGo flight from Kanpur to Delhi was delayed by nearly three hours after passengers and crew spotted a rat inside the aircraft cabin just before takeoff. All passengers, numbering between 140 and 172 according to various reports, were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure while airline staff and airport officials conducted an extensive search for the rodent. The search lasted approximately one and a half to three hours, during which passengers were moved to the airport lounge and updated regularly. The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 2:55 PM and land in Delhi around 4:10 PM, eventually took off at around 6:03 to 6:04 PM and arrived at its destination later in the evening. Airport and airline officials emphasized that passenger safety was the top priority, with strict protocols requiring the aircraft to remain grounded until the rat was found and removed. The incident caused significant inconvenience, with some passengers choosing to cancel or postpone their travel plans.
