Man Shot and Killed in Midtown Manhattan

A 50-year-old man was shot in the chest near the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel on Sixth Avenue early Wednesday morning. The victim was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. Police are currently searching for the gunman, who fled the scene on foot wearing a black jacket, black face mask, and black and white sneakers. The suspect was last seen heading north on Sixth Avenue, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet identified the victim pending notification of his family. There is a heavy police presence in the area as this is an ongoing investigation.
