Netflix Releases Trailer for Keira Knightley’s Luxury Yacht Murder Mystery

Netflix is set to release "The Woman in Cabin 10," a psychological thriller starring Keira Knightley as Lo Blacklock, a travel journalist who witnesses a passenger being thrown overboard during a luxury cruise but is met with disbelief from the crew and passengers. Directed by Simon Stone and based on Ruth Ware's bestselling novel, the film explores themes of gaslighting, classism, and gender, emphasizing the struggle of a woman who reports a crime but is not taken seriously because of her identity. Stone intentionally crafted Lo's character to be unquestionably credible, drawing inspiration from lead roles in 1970s paranoid thrillers, to avoid the trope of doubting female sanity. The movie features a strong ensemble cast including Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, David Ajala, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Kaya Scodelario, with a screenplay by Stone, Joe Shrapnel, and Anna Waterhouse.
