Ajinkya, previously the MCA secretary, is backed by veteran politician Sharad Pawar, while Sanjay was supported by BJP leader Ashish Shelar. In his victory statement, Ajinkya expressed his commitment to uphold Kale's legacy and improve the quality of Mumbai cricket. He emphasized that his win represents all grassroots cricket stakeholders, highlighting the importance of Maidan cricket. The election results were deemed valid, with no objections raised during the counting process.
