Kenro Capital Invests $40 Million in K12 Techno Services

Kenro Capital, a new venture capital firm founded by Piyush Gupta, has made its inaugural investment of $40 million in K12 Techno Services, which operates Orchids The International School. This investment consists of a minority stake acquisition through a combination of primary and secondary funding, contributing to K12's growth ambitions. K12 Techno is set to expand its network by launching 8-12 new Orchids schools each year and onboarding 100-150 additional schools under its Eduvate brand. The company has shown significant growth, with operational revenue increasing to ₹429 crore in FY24 and losses reduced by 75% year-on-year. Gupta highlighted the strong demand for quality education in India, driven by a large school-age population and increasing birth rates, positioning K12 Techno for transformative growth. This marks Kenro's strategy of focusing on secondary investments in revenue-scaled growth-stage companies across India and Southeast Asia.
