Cleveland Guardians Place Lane Thomas on IL, Call Up Will Wilson

The Cleveland Guardians have placed outfielder Lane Thomas on the 10-day injured list due to a bone bruise in his wrist, and in response, have called up infielder Will Wilson from Triple-A Columbus. Wilson, a former first-round draft pick acquired in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 Draft from the San Francisco Giants, will be making his Major League debut. He has been performing exceptionally well in Triple-A, posting a .324 batting average with six home runs and 18 RBIs in 18 games. The Guardians also transferred pitcher Trevor Stephan to the 60-day injured list to make room on the roster.
