US Organizations Launch Holiday Donation Drives

Several organizations across the United States are organizing drives to support those in need during the holiday season. TownsforTroops-SE in Summerville has initiated its annual 'Santa for Soldiers' Stocking Drive to deliver holiday stockings to military members. Commonpoint in Queens is conducting a Coat and Toy Drive for children, with donations accepted at multiple locations until December. Samaritan's Purse is collecting shoebox gifts for children worldwide through its 'Operation Christmas Child' drive, aiming to reach 12 million children this year. The Catherine McAuley Center in Scranton is collaborating with local organizations to provide gifts for 5,000 kids and teens, focusing on tweens and teens. In New York, Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a statewide Toy, Coat, and School Supply Drive, encouraging donations at multiple sites, including Long Island and New York City, until mid-December.
