The collapse of a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Malvan has sparked significant political unrest in Maharashtra. Tensions escalated further when supporters of Aaditya Thackeray and Narayan Rane clashed at the statue site, resulting in violent threats and confrontations with police. Additionally, clashes erupted outside a hotel in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar where Thackeray was staying, following protests over the Disha Salian and Badlapur incidents. Police had to intervene with mild lathicharge and registered FIRs against 75 political workers. The ongoing conflicts underscore deep political divisions and allegations of corruption within the Maharashtra government.
