The Uttar Pradesh government is set to establish its first semiconductor park near Noida International Airport in Jewar, aiming to attract major chip manufacturing companies and create significant employment opportunities. The project, managed by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), will feature two semiconductor clusters covering 325 acres—200 acres in Sector 10 and 125 acres in Sector 28. Supporting infrastructure includes an 8 MLD water treatment plant, a 60 MLD sewage treatment plant, and multiple power substations. The park's strategic location, just 4 km from the airport, will enhance logistics for investors, with additional connectivity improvements from a Rapid Rail Transit System and a high-speed rail line. Substantial incentives under the state's Semiconductor Policy, including a 50% capital subsidy and land rebates, are designed to foster investment in the semiconductor sector. This initiative aligns with the state's goal to bolster its position in the global electronics manufacturing landscape.
