Collins Aerospace Approved for Full-Rate Production of MAPS Gen II System

Collins Aerospace has received approval for Full-Rate Production (FRP) of its Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing Generation II (MAPS Gen II) system, following the fifth delivery order for this advanced navigation solution. The system will be deployed in thousands of units on U.S. Army and Marine Corps combat vehicles, providing enhanced navigation capabilities resistant to jamming and spoofing. MAPS Gen II integrates various sensor data to ensure accurate positioning, even in contested environments, supporting a range of military operations. Sandy Brown, a senior executive at Collins, highlighted the project's alignment with the Department of Defense’s modernization goals and the importance of delivering reliable navigation to warfighters. The system consists of the NavHub-100 and Multi-Sensor Antenna System (MSAS-100), designed to be easily integrated into existing military platforms. This development marks a significant step in enhancing the U.S. military's navigation resilience and operational effectiveness.
