A recent UCSF study highlighted a concerning trend, showing e-bike injuries doubled from 2017 to 2022, with over 23,000 injuries reported in 2022 alone. This surge in incidents has prompted calls for stricter regulations as e-bike popularity continues to grow, with more than one million units sold last year. Public education and enforcement of safety measures, including speed limits and helmet use, are deemed essential for reducing risks associated with e-mobility.
